HPSC (Haryana Public Service Commission) conducts the HCS exam. In this section, we will discuss the HCS exam syllabus, pattern, prelims, mains, and interview. 

What is HCS Exam ?

HCS exam is conducted by the Haryana Public Service Commission for the top jobs of Haryana.

Who can prepare for this exam?

Anybody from India who is a graduate can prepare for this exam. It is not necessary that the candidate should be from Haryana. He can be outside of Haryana. 

Age Limit for HCS 

The candidate should be 21-42 years of age. For details related to age check here. 

Who can get the reservation benefits in HCS exam?

As per law, Haryana domicile candidates can get the reservation benefits. Reservation related details check here. 

Educational Qualification in the HCS exam?

If you are a graduate from any stream, you can apply for the HCS exam. You can become SDM. There is no required percentage cap. If a candidate has secured 33% in BA and another scored 80% in B.Tech. Both are eligible and can apply. Both will be considered equal. It depends on how you perform in the written test of HCS instead of what is the academic background. No. of  Attempts in the HCS exam? 

You can appear in HCS exams any number of times. There is no limit to appearing in the HCS exams. Also one must note that in UPSC there is a limit in appearing in the UPSC IAS exam. 

When is the HCS exam conducted and where?

HCS exam is conducted 1-2 years gap. The last exam was conducted in 2017-2018. Therefore the next exam will be conducted in the year 20201. Notification can be published for the HCS exam at any time, so students must be ready and should prepare for this exam. This exam is conducted in various cities in Haryana.
